The administrative nuances of billing, registration, way-finding, parking meters, checklists, and wait lists are just some of the pieces that are to be attended to ensuring patients have a 1 stop shop mechanism of attending to any reminders associated with the tasks, locating where they are to be, when they are to be, without having to navigate through the various departments and services that currently serve these varying and disparate needs, i.e. financial services, health information services/records, registration, scheduling/booking/triage, information desks/services, parking services, decision support, information technology services, etc.

The potential impact of the project is monumental is it would become the sole means of communication & administrative
support that a patient and/or their family would need. Through the means of an app, the patient and their families would be
able to centralize their query of services and receive responses.

"Colour Outside the Lines: A Reverse Innovation Challenge for Canadian Health Systems" is an open challenge to inspire current and future leaders to become active participants in shaping the transformation of our health care system. It is focused on finding innovations that are being successfully applied in the developing world/emerging markets that offer potential innovation to the Canadian Health System.
