ജമാ അത്തെ ഇസ്ലാമിയുമായി മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പിണറായി വിജയൻ നേരിട്ട് ചർച്ച നടത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ടെന്ന് ന്യൂസ് 18 നോട് വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി അമീർ പി മുജീബ് റഹ്മാൻ. 2011ൽ ആലപ്പുഴ ഗസ്റ്റ് ഹൗസിലായിരുന്നു ചർച്ച. അന്നു പാർട്ടി സെക്രട്ടറിയായിരുന്നു പിണറായി. ഇതു നിഷേധിക്കാൻ പിണറായിക്കു ധൈര്യമുണ്ടോ എന്നും ന്യൂസ് 18 കേരളം സീനിയർ അസോഷ്യേറ്റ് എഡിറ്റർ ജിമ്മി ജയിംസിന് നൽകിയ അഭിമുഖത്തിൽ മുജീബ് റഹ്മാൻ ചോദിച്ചു.

Amir P. Mujeeb Rahman revealed to News 18 that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had a direct discussion with Jama'at-e-Islami. The conversation took place in 2011 at the Alappuzha Guest House, when Pinarayi was the party secretary. Mujeeb Rahman asked News 18 Kerala Senior Associate Editor Jimmy James in an interview if Pinarayi had the courage to deny this.
