Скачать или смотреть South Korean President Lee Jae Myung Attends China–ROK Innovation Forum in Shanghai

MetroTV, President of the Republic of Korea (ROK) Lee Jae Myung attended a China-ROK innovation and entrepreneurship forum in Shanghai on Wednesday.

Nearly 300 representatives from Chinese and ROK enterprises in fields such as intelligent manufacturing, new materials, artificial intelligence, healthcare, cultural creativity and consumption services attended the forum.

The event aimed to expand the cooperation channels between Chinese and ROK innovative enterprises, promote the joint exploration of potential business opportunities, and facilitate open innovation cooperation in multiple fields.

"Shanghai is the Chinese city that best shows the words 'innovation' and 'growth'. I'm very glad to meet you all here. Long ago, enthusiastic Chinese young people met the challenges and enabled China to become one of the world's innovative countries. Innovation is not a patent of any single country, nor can it be accomplished merely by relying on one's own technology," said Lee at the forum.

"Just as the exchanges between Joseon-era thinker Pak Chega and many scholars of China's Qing Dynasty helped technology development in East Asia in modern times, the ROK's venture entrepreneurship ecology is closely linked with China's vast innovation and entrepreneurship environment. Both the ROK and China will face newer and greater growth solutions. Taking today as an opportunity, I hope for more frequent face-to-face exchanges of thinkings and lively discussions between innovative people of talent of the two countries. The future of ROK and China created by all of you is highly anticipated," said Lee.

The trip in Shanghai was part of Lee's state visit to China from Jan. 4 to 7.
