The 2024 All-Analog Pedalboard (...The Most Unhinged Yet?!)

It's that time of year again...unveiling the ridiculous, boutique, all-analog pedalboard hell that I put myself through each year, in the name of having interesting sounds under my feet for the coming 365 days of recording! Completing the rig is hugely satisfying...but sitting down in front of an empty sea of velcro in December and knowing what is about to happen is one of the year's lowest points...!!

As with previous boards, today I'll talk you through why I've built this behemoth in the way I have; go through each of the loops in turn showing you what they all do; and at the end, I'll stack some of the loops together in different ways and see what happens. Because what could possibly go wrong there...?!

Guitar is a Ron Kirn Barnbuster w/ Don Mare Hot Bakelite pickups. Amps are a Vajra JTM45 clone running into a Zilla Studio Pro 2x12 cabinet loaded with Celestion AlNiCo Gold & G12M Heritage Greenback speakers (G12M recorded with a Shure SM57 and sE RNR1 ribbon mics) and a Dr Z Z-Wreck combo w/ Celestion AlNiCo Gold (recorded with a '70s Sennheiser MD441). Spring reverb is a Dr Z Z-Verb unit.
