CINCINNATI (Brad Underwood) -- A child is dead after a car accident on the Clay Wade Bailey Bridge Saturday night that shut down the bridge for six hours.

Investigators say 4-year-old Logan Mitchell's grandmother, 43-year-old Geanna Mitchell, lost control of her SUV and hit a minivan while driving over the bridge. The SUV then struck a barrier wall and ended up on its top.

There was also another child in the car, Mitchell's 9-year-old daughter.

Police say Mitchell was speeding, drunk and high on drugs when she crashed the stolen SUV. Her driver's license had also been suspended.

According to police, Mitchell took the car keys that belonged to another family member after being told not to drive. On the bridge, Mitchell crossed the center line and crashed head on into the minivan.

Mitchell was not wearing a seat belt. She was transported to the hospital where she was treated and released before being taken to jail.

Mitchell's daughter was wearing a seat belt and taken to Children's Hospital and released with minor injuries. Logan was also wearing a seat belt, but was trapped after the crash. He was taken to Children's, but he died as a result of his injuries.

The minivan driver was treated for minor injuries.

Mitchell is charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and theft. She will appear in court Monday morning.
