Daily Boost, a local health food spot in Southeast Texas, is gaining attention for its colorful and healthy offerings, including protein shakes, loaded teas, and protein bowls. Owners Joanna and Jose Lopez shared their journey and the inspiration behind their business.

"We serve meal replacement protein shakes with the goal of just making healthier choices," said Joanna Lopez. "Everything is low or no sugar, high protein. So it's definitely just a healthier option for morning, lunch, dinner."

The couple's interest in health and wellness began with Jose's long-time use of Herbalife products. "When we met, he was very much like, oh, these products are amazing," Joanna Lopez said. "As we started taking the products and using them, we've both lost weight, we feel better, and we just felt like the community needed something like this."

Daily Boost offers a variety of products, including energy teas, protein oatmeal, and a protein pumpkin pie, which is a healthier alternative to traditional pumpkin pie. "Our top seller and the thing that everybody rants and raves about is the Acai Bowl," Joanna Lopez said, describing it as a meal replacement with 300 calories and 30 grams of protein.

The shop's loaded teas are particularly popular among high school students for their vibrant appearance and health benefits. "It starts with a green tea base. So that is going to help boost your metabolism, give you energy, have some caffeine," Joanna Lopez explained. "It's just a great boost for you."

Daily Boost is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The shop is closed on Sundays. Customers can visit their location or follow them on social media for more information.
