Myself and my oldest friend, Mark H, got out for a wild camp in the Hen Hole, a chasm cut into the flank of the Cheviot, the highest point in Northumberland. Reputed in folklore to be the haunt of faires and dastardly deeds it is steep, cavernous and filled with falling water and tempting pools.
It is a perfect place for wild camping and a fascinating place to explore. Also I fall in some water.
