I was recently trying to install the python face_recognition library but kept getting an error "CMAKE must be installed to build dlib" and wasn't able to install dlib library either because of the same error. However, CMAKE was already successfully installed on my machine.

Seems like CMAKE installation path was misconfigured. After a few hours of trial and error I was able to find the solution by downloading dlib manually.
