This video is a sped-up demonstration of a quick abstract warm-up painting with a 15 minute time limit. Doing these fast, loose acrylic paintings daily helps keep you from overthinking as you paint. They're meant to be fun, playful, experimental, and to get you painting. Loosening up prior to working on art projects you find to be more significant, is one of the key reasons for doing these quick & easy abstract warm-up paintings. Don't worry if they don't turn out to be masterpieces after 15 minutes, they're not supposed to be. Simply put, these paintings are supposed to be fun. If you get some good ones, pat yourself on the back and move on to your next painting. If they look like a muddy mess, pat yourself on the back and move on to your next painting. Give them a try!
For this abstract warm-up painting, I was mainly using a size 8 filbert paint brush and an 8 bright paint brush.
