Professor M S Narasimhan is one of the eminent mathematicians of India. He is well known along with the renowned mathematician C S Seshadri for Narasimhan–Seshadri theorem. Prof. Narasimhan has made exceptional contributions in Geometry, both Algebraic and Differential. His deep passion for mathematics has won him several awards in this field. The most noted one is Padma Bhushan in the year 1990.
