GBO2 Barzam Custom: A better Zero Shiki!?

Описание к видео GBO2 Barzam Custom: A better Zero Shiki!?

This video is a recent custom match I had with the Barzam Custom on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a general with great shooting damage and stuns albeit with a relatively slow downswing animation. My first life in the video could have gone better. The second life went pretty well considering we had an ally disconnect leaving us in 5v6. The third life is where things really picked up. I hope you can enjoy the video and see the versatility and great DPS that Barzam Custom offers.

Barzam Custom can choose either from the weapons of Gundam MKII or its own unique beam rifle. Its beam rifle has 1200 (2350) power, 0.6 seconds cooldown, 30% (80%) heat, 17 seconds overheat time, 0.77 seconds swap time, 350m (400m) range and 35% (65%) stagger value. This practically operates in the same way as the Zero Shiki beam rifle albeit with higher heat. You also gain the grenade launcher sub weapon while this is equipped.
The primary weapon of the Barzam Custom is a beam saber with 2200 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap time and standard melee modifiers. It has fair power but this isn't going to be your main source of damage output. Beware that it has the same slow downswing animation of the original Barzam so you need to be closer than normal to confirm it.
The first sub weapon it has is the beam rifle attached grenade launcher with 1000 power, 4 ammo, 5 seconds cooldown, 16 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 250m range and 45% stagger value. It instant staggers and has splash radius higher than most bazookas so it is very easy to use. The swap time is fast enough to be confirmed from a charged rifle shot as well.
Its second sub weapon is a vulcan pod with 90 power, 90 ammo, 13 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 180m range, 900 DPS and 2% stagger value. The low staggering value makes this unusable for stunning enemies but the high DPS and high ammo count makes it incredible for keeping up damage while waiting for your beam rifle to cool off.
It also has a large shield with 3500 HP. This buffs walking and turning speed by 15% once broken which works out to about 143 walking speed.

The stats and skills of the Barzam Custom make it very well suited to close-mid range shooting. HP is average at 16000 but defences are a little higher than average with 21/21/18 spread. Shooting and melee correction is evenly split at 25/25 but despite this you should still be focusing on shooting in gameplay and in your build. Mobility seems mediocre at first with 125 walking speed, 210 boosting speed, 65 thrust and 63 turning. Its walking speed actually works out to being better than most suits thanks to the 95% strafing and 85% back walking modifier. This makes it very easy to go in and out of cover when shooting while avoiding being shot much in return. Skills are standard for a 500 cost general with LV1 Forced Injector, LV1 Melee Combo Controller and LV2 Flight Controller among others. Where it stands out in terms of skills is having two dodge rolls. This makes close combat pretty easy since you get two chances when dodging.

Overall I would have to say that the Barzam Custom is pretty strong and not that difficult to pick up either. It practically plays like an improved Alex or Zero Shiki but with the added benefit of an instant stun grenade launcher to not suffer in close combat. The main skill requirement with this suit is being able to hit beam rifle shots on moving targets. Starting with the grenade launcher and then comboing into the rifle can make this easier though. Your DPS will never let up if you alternate between beam rifle and vulcans to let the rifle cool off as needed. It is currently gacha exclusive but if you have it then I would definitely recommend you try it.
