How to set your Klark Teknik KT76 UA 1176 compressor for vocal recording and basic mic technique are questions that I frequently get asked. In this video I show you how to set your Klark Teknik KT76 for use in vocal recording. Using a fixed threshold of 0db, a 4:1 ratio, varying the attack time and using a moderate release time throughout, it is easy to see how the compressor reacts or not to the subtle dynamics that vocal recording can have.
