Sensors Compatible w/ Lyric Alarm System

Описание к видео Sensors Compatible w/ Lyric Alarm System

In this video, Joe talks about the wireless sensors that are compatible with the Honeywell Lyric Controller. The system can use most Honeywell 5800 Series Sensors and all of the encrypted Honeywell SiX Series Sensors. The only 5800 Series devices that aren't supported are those that need a House ID.

If a user has an older alarm system that used the 345 MHz wireless Honeywell Sensors, they can upgrade to the Honeywell Lyric Controller and continue to use all of their old sensors. Additionally, the user can buy almost any 5800 Series device and use it successfully with the system. Another option is to use Honeywell SiX Series Sensors. These sensors communicate at 2.4 GHz WIFI, and they are protected by 128-bit AES encryption. The SiX Series Sensors are designed exclusively for use with the Honeywell Lyric Controller.

It is important to remember that a Honeywell 5800 Series device will not work with a Honeywell Lyric Controller if it requires a House ID from the panel. The Lyric Controller does not have a House ID setting, so it cannot be used with these devices. Some examples of 5800 Series devices that are not compatible with the Lyric Controller include the 5828 Keypad and the 5800WAVE Siren.

Wireless sensors can be automatically enrolled with the panel through its wireless enrollment mode. It is also possible to manually enter in the serial number for a wireless sensor if desired. If the sensor is a SiX Series device, it can be learned-in through the batch enrollment feature of the Lyric. After learning-in the sensor, the user will need to adjust the settings and configurations for the device as needed.

Normally closed hardwired sensors can also be used with the Lyric Controller. The system has two wired inputs on its circuit board for this purpose. The system can also use a compatible wired to wireless converter, like the Honeywell 5800C2W to support wired devices.
