The US president makes his final speech before leaving office, addressing crowds of supporters in Chicago. Telling the audience that the idea his election could usher in a ‘post-racial America’ was ‘never realistic’, Obama urges the American people to get more involved in democracy before tearfully thanking his family for their support.
