From the Archives: Yasser Arafat, chairman of the PLO, on "Face the Nation," 1975

In September 1975, Yasser Arafat, the Chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization, joined Face the Nation to discuss the PLO's opposition to the Egypt-Israel accord and the U.S.' role in the region.

"Face the Nation" is America's premier Sunday morning public affairs program. The broadcast is one of the longest-running news programs in the history of television, having debuted November 7, 1954, on CBS.
