Non-Ducted LTV Wonder Models-Installing an Atmos 4.4 Air Conditioner

Описание к видео Non-Ducted LTV Wonder Models-Installing an Atmos 4.4 Air Conditioner

CTM Customs in Stuart, Florida is installing the very quiet and more power efficient Atmos 4.4 15k BTU Air Conditioner with Heat Pump in a non-ducted 2020 Leisure Travel Vans Wonder Murphy Bed. The LTV Wonder is non-ducted, so this installation is applicable to all year and model Leisure Travel Vans Wonder Models or any RV with a non-ducted air conditioner. The Dometic Penguin ll 15k BTU air conditioner with heat pump that LTV used is very noisy and power hungry, so lots of Wonder folks are eager to have it replaced with the Atmos 4.4. SDG in Elkhart, Indiana is the exclusive distributor for the Atmos and provides it to CTM Customs as their first authorized Dealer/Installer. The Atmos 4.4 that CTM Customs is purchasing from SDG has a SoftStartRV pre-installed and can be operated from a 3000w Inverter, a minimum of 20a shore power outlet, or the LTV on board generator. The Atmos also has Wifi connectivity and comes with its own hand held remote. So you can literally control or monitor it from anywhere. The hand held remote isn't back lit for in the dark viewing, but you can buy one so you can keep it by your bedside at night, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XP7S1DX.

Since the Atmos isn't compatible with the old Dometic thermostat, the Wonder Firefly Multiplex unit may show an error red triangle symbol. CTM Customs can make a simple modification to turn that off so you don't have to see that nuisance light continously. Basically what is done is a jumper cable is made from the plug in the of old Dometic AirCon multiplex interface unit and the plug in for the air conditioner on the Firefly G-12 panel, the Dometic AirCon unit control board is removed from it box, the old Dometic Penguin ll temperature sensor is removed and pluged into the AirCon board, and this is plugged back into the Firefly G-12 Multiplex unit in the AC plug and mounted in the area of the G-12 unit. This makes the Firefly think the Penguin ll is still connected and the red triangle symbol goes away. Since the old Atmos isn't compatible with the Firefly System so air conditioner operation will no longer be available on its panel.

You'll continue to be able to control the LTV propane Suburban furnace from the Firefly panel. The Atmos does have an excellent heat pump that works beautifully down to a low temperature of 23°F. Some LTV Owners are requesting CTM Customs also remove their smelly and not very effective Suburban propane furnace as part of the Atmos installation. I removed my furnace as well when I had my Atmos installed by SDG in Elkhart, Indiana. Folks can request CTM Customs to remove their furnace, but it is extra and must be scheduled in advance, so please tell CTM you want to add this when scheduling an Atmos 4.4 installation.
