On the first day of New Year, a huge number of tourists visited the Taj Mahal. Long queues were seen early in the morning at the east and west gates, with visitors coming from India and abroad. People were excited to begin the New Year by seeing this symbol of love.

Due to the heavy crowd, tight security arrangements were made. CISF and local police carried out strict checking at entry points, and extra security was deployed at ticket counters and parking areas.

There was dense fog and extreme cold in the morning. The sun remained hidden behind the fog. From a distance, the Taj Mahal looked slightly hazy, but it became clear as visitors came closer. The white marble continued to attract tourists despite the cold weather.
