In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxDelthorneWomen, where x = independently organized TED event.

TEDxDelthorneWomen was executive produced, curated and hosted by Sonali Fiske, Founder of BIWoC Revolutionaries Take the Mic, a Talk Show Host on Rukus Avenue Radio, and a TEDx speaker herself.

With our theme, Revolutionize, we're about shining a light on the voices that are reimagining a new and just society through a revolutionary lens. Not just from a space of dismantling tired, old concepts and fighting oppressive views, but implanting fresh seeds rooted in new imaginings, curiosity and right relationship. In her own words, Channdika Thayver is an imperfect Tamil woman who was born in Singapore and whose ancestral roots lie in Tamil Nadu, India. She is currently a settler on the stolen lands of the Kwikwetlem and Katzie Nations in so-called British Columbia, colonial Canada.

As a Life & Wellness Coach, Channdika is committed to lifelong learning and unlearning in her efforts to show up as the best Co-Conspirator she can be in the creation of equity for all marginalized peoples.

She believes that the creation of this equity can only be birthed through the disruption and dismantling of systemic oppressions, and that this requires deep introspection and active disruption of her respective privileges, daily. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
