Toyota Tacoma Gets Another FACELIFT!!

👋 Today we install a sweet new bumper for my 3rd generation Toyota Tacoma! This is the Slimline tube style hybrid bumper that is going to weight much less than a full size bumper, but still gives function for the front end and isn't as bulky either! The installation isn't too hard of a project, but you will be cutting a lot of the bumper away which can be intimidating! I linked a few bumper videos down below so if you are starting from scratch with a stock truck, you can get a better feel how to make it to where I was in this video! Once you get there, cutting the sides is what took us the longest because we didn't have a reference for the cut points. So we went 1/4'' by 1/4'' give or take, to make sure we had a clean cut and plenty of clearance. After that it was time to cut the fender liners and I know a lot of people just cut straight across and call it a day, but I like to keep my truck looking cleaner and hiding what I can, so I decided to curve the liners up and zip tie them to some spots so they are hidden and still have a clean look. I will go back at some point and ad some kind of splash guard just to make it look more factory. The fender flares were very easy to line up and cut, we did use new adhesive to put them back on! Overall not a bad install, it took us about 5 hours, so plan on a whole day or possible two if you are starting from stock. Biggest take away is take your time cutting, you can keep cutting, but you can't add back. So slow and steady and you'll have a perfect fit!
