And as you know, through these 21 newly appointed cardinals, there is one from the Syro-Malabar Church, which means I am not alone. We have at least two cardinals from the eastern churches. And that experience will be really helpful for pope, because as you remember, Saint John Paul II said that the church is breathing by two lungs, eastern and the western."

And after he chooses the place and we proceed with the preparation. It was his will and the way we did it. And the Holy Father is very attached to the Basilica (St. Mary Major). And for that reason, he chose to be buried (there)."

STORYLINE:
Pope Francis will hold a consistory ceremony on Saturday during which he will elevate 21 men of the church to become cardinals.

The men will kneel before the pope and receive their new red cardinal hat and ring.
