Daelim VS 125 - Проверка безопасности и БОЛЬШОЙ СЕРВИС - part 1
Servus and welcome!
In todays video we do a safety checkup of the Daelim 125 chopper MY 97 and it gets a BIG service.
We start with inspecting all safety parts like wheel bearings, brakes and tires. Then we go ahead with the big service. In this part 1 it includes the adjustment of the steering bearing, new air filter, new valve cover gasket and valve play adjustment. The side panels and tank need to be dismounted. To adjust the valve play we find the top dead point of the piston. For this we got markings on the flywheel. After the adjustment is done the valve cover goes back on. We use a small amount of silicone seal and make sure that the gasket sits right at all points! The old spark plug didnt look too bad but we want to mount a new one anyway. They are pretty cheap and I dont want an engine to fail because of it.
Now the bike needs fresh oil and a new oil filter so lets do it. The oil is drained and this is done through the oil screen plug. Its a good struggle to put the oil screen, spring and plug in with one hand only but it is possibe  Next is the oil filter. It sits on the right side of the engine underneath the polished cover. While doing the work I explain the reason for the oil check valve and how it works. New 10W40 motor oil goes in next and because we mounted that oil filter without pre filling it with oil I kick the bike with ignition off a few times. That will make the oil circulate in the system and fill the oil filter.
