The Foundation Stone of the Climate Learning Center was laid by Mr. Mohammad Iqbal Hossain Sabuj, the Honourable Member of the Parliament (Gazipur – 3) and Mr. Joyanto Adhikari , Executive Director of Christian Commission for Development in Bangladesh (CCDB) at Sreepur, Gazipur in 27 April 2019.

The ceremony took place in the presence of the local public representatives, esteem dignitaries and general people of Uttar Pelaid, Telihati, Sreepur. The Guests and CCDB officials excavated the ground with the first spade and planted trees on this grand occasion.

The Climate Learning Center will be a two-storied building with Digital Theatre, Exhibition zone, Conference hall along with a zone for the children to develop a sensitized climate resilient society.
CCDB is constructing the country’s first Climate Technology Park on 27 acres of land at Sreepur, Gazipur. In this Park, there are several innovative technologies on climate change adaptation, mitigation and disaster risk reduction based on the five main ecological zones of Bangladesh – floodplain, coastal, drought, hilly and haor zones for interactive learning and demonstration.
There will be guided tours in the park with specialized learning tools for national and international climate scientists, policymakers, researchers, government officials, practitioners, general people including children to enhance their knowledge and skill regarding climate change in Bangladesh in a demonstrative and interactive learning environment. This will be the must visit place for any climate actors to know climate change impacts and resilience in Bangladesh.
