Описание к видео Panasonic Z95A OLED TV Review: Back in the USA!

The Panasonic Z95A is the flagship OLED TV for 2024 and it is also now available to buy in the US, the first time a Panasonic TV has been available in that country for over a decade! So is it any good? AVForums Editor Phil Hinton gives you his full in-depth review.

I have spent the last few weeks living with the Panasonic Z95A and it is the type of flagship OLED TV you would expect from the manufacturer. Plus, in a not-too-surprising move following the Z95A taking pride of place on the Panasonic CES stand this year, it is also now available to buy in the US, after a break of 10 years from that market.

The latest MLA (Micro Lens Array) technology added to the proprietary heat sinks unique to Panasonic, gives the Z95A superb HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision brightness capabilities which match, or in some cases better, the 2024 flagship competition. Peak brightness in the most accurate Filmmaker mode measures in at 1539 nits on an industry-standard 10% window and 205 nits at 100% coverage. Plus, the now famous Panasonic cinematic image quality shines through yet again, offering stunning blacks, and superb shadow details adding real depth and detail to SDR and HDR images.

Gaming is also very good with two HDMI 2.1 ports (48Gbps) an improved game bar and the accurate True Game picture mode adds up to a very good gaming TV experience that should keep most users happy. Plus, we get Dolby Vision HDR gaming up to 120Hz and PC gamers can also take advantage of the 144Hz capabilities of the panel.

The switch to Fire TV for the OS system is also a good one with a large selection of apps and features, along with the Freely TV service due to be added soon. It feels slick, fast and stable with a large selection of on-demand and TV services across most of the major platforms out there.

It’s not perfect with a few niggles we would like to see fixed with a firmware update for calibration and accuracy, but in all other areas, the Panasonic Z95A lives up to its flagship status and comes Highly Recommended.

The good
Superb cinematic image quality with SDR & HDR content
Superb black levels and shadow detail retrieval
True game picture mode, game bar and decent gaming features
Very good sound quality

The not so good
Only two 48Gbps HDMI 2.1 ports with eARC using one
Out of the Box accuracy could be slightly better
Menu system covers too much image area for calibration
