BISITA ISLA WITH ZIA

(Island Hopping in Padre Burgos, Quezon; Zia’s 3 Asian sauces and fun games under the sun!)

Took Zia to Padre Burgos (2 hours from Lucban) to go island hopping in Borawan, Dampalitan and Puting Buhangin.

Our first stop is a beautiful sandbar in Biliran. After a hearty breakfast in our rented boat, we did fun rally games with the “Zsawariwaps” of our Buhay ProbinZSA team! We had so much fun doing games such as “Ikot Kilometro”and many more where you’ll definitely see my competitive side!

We then moved to Dampalitan to prepare our lunch. Before our trip, we asked some local fishermen to sell us some of their fresh catch. They were able to give us my favorite fish- Lapu Lapu, crabs, shrimp and panos (big squid). We wanted to make our presentation a little extra so we placed them inside Bamboo tubes, then grilled them. We also thought of teaching you how to make 3 different Asian sauces to make on the beach as an alternate option to our usual suka/toyo/kalamansi sawsawan. Zia made Sweet & Spicy,
Green Curry, and
Peanut Tamarind sauces!

Cooking with Zia is something I enjoy since she also loves to cook. She spends a lot of time cooking in her own home.

We finished cooking everything a little late but what a feast we had after!

After lunch, we hopped on our boat once again to visit Kwebang Lampas in Puting Buhangin.

Zia and I ended the day watching the sunset in Boraoan. We talked a little, but mostly we held hands enjoying our precious time together. What a great day it was!
