Hunting, spearfishing, exploring, relaxing and wildlife - Stewart Island has it all. We spent 10 days hunting whitetail deer and exploring the Christmas Village hunting block back in February of 2022. We lived off the land and ocean by spearfishing for dinner, daily catch and cooks of fresh blue cod and butterfish. Our main aim for the trip was to climb the tallest peak on Rakiura to get a look over the entire island... it did not disappoint! Incredible panoramic views of Rakiura, the Southern Ocean and Fiordland.
