Casio CZ101 Part 1 - Buying a broken synth from ebay - can it be fixed?

Описание к видео Casio CZ101 Part 1 - Buying a broken synth from ebay - can it be fixed?

In today's instalment we go on the internet in search of broken junk looking to be saved. Spoiler alert I find a Casio CZ101 which doesn't power on. Its got plenty wrong with it, faulty buttons, a common issue with the power supply circuit and more. FYI - information in this video also applies to the CZ1000 which internally is basically the same.

Part 1 is all about getting the thing working - Part 2 will be more about the actual keyboard, what it sounds like, patch demos and all that stuff.

The Casio CZ101 is the first of Casio's phase distortion synths, It was also casio's first fully programmable semi pro keyboard. According to the TV ad from the 1980's, 'The Casio CZ101 is so easy to play it's a rocker launcher' so I though maybe safest to put on a full face helmet for this one, just to be on the safe side... Or just look like an idiot for the thumbnail..

All music in this episode is writen by me. If you enjoyed please consider a sub or thumbs up and if your really keen, check out some other videos!
