What do nursing students do in Medical/Surgical Wards? My experience as EN Tafe student in Australia

Hey guys :)

Some of you have requested for me to film a video regarding my experience in Medical/Surgical wards, so here I`m sharing with you some information on what cares I was performing during my EN clinical placements in these wards.

I have covered your routine as a nursing student, post Ob`s patients on PCA, surgical wound management, some types of dressings, DVT management, injections, PEG lines, general and neurovascular ob`s, BGL`s, different ways of medication administration, tracheostomy suctioning, nursing charts etc.

General reminder: this is my own experience, therefore yours may be different. Always look for guidance from your education provider, facilitator and buddy nurse.
