Venice is a residential, commercial, and recreational beachfront neighborhood of the City of Los Angeles, California. This urban region of coastal Los Angeles County is known locally as the Westside.
Venice was founded by Abbot Kinney in 1905 as a seaside resort town. It was an independent city until 1926, when it merged with Los Angeles. Venice is known for its canals, a beach, and Ocean Front Walk, a two-and-a-half-mile (4.0 km) pedestrian promenade that features performers, fortune-tellers, artists and vendors.

Playa del Rey is a coastal neighborhood and a district of the city of Los Angeles. It is peripherally located, south and west of the heart of Silicon Beach and immediately north of LAX. Its residents suffer from air and noise pollution generated at the airport. Expansions at the airport have forced more than a thousand residents to move and hundreds of houses to be demolished.
The city has a small park, called Del Rey Lagoon Park. The park has a area of about 70,000 m2, it has a shallow saltwater swamp-pond (known as “Del Rey Lagoon”). The pond has a area of 20,000 m2, with a maximal depth of about 5 feet. Del Rey lagoon’s depth varies over time of day, as The lagoon is partially connected with the Ballona Creek by an underground pipe. To the north of the park is Ballona Creek, to the south Convoy St, to the west is Pacific ave, to the east lies Esplande and a apartment complex.

Manhattan Beach is a city in southwestern Los Angeles County, California, United States, on the Pacific coast south of El Segundo, and north of Hermosa Beach. As of the 2010 census, the population was 35,135, and in 2019 the population was estimated to be 35,183.
Manhattan Beach is one of the three Beach Cities, along with Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach, that make up the South Bay region of Los Angeles County. The community is known for a long beach stretching approximately 2.1 miles (3.4 km) and roughly 450 feet (140 m) wide. The climate is unusually moderate because of Manhattan Beach's proximity to the Pacific Ocean, with an average year-round high temperature of 69.1 °F (20.6 °C) and an average year-round low of 56.4 °F (13.6 °C).
Its schools are run independently of Los Angeles Unified School District with a separate school board based in Manhattan Beach. Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach is ranked in the top 1% of high schools nationally and has students from both Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach.
