Building my own classical guitar

Описание к видео Building my own classical guitar

In April 2015 I decided I was going to build my own classical guitar. I started out with limited woodworking experience, little tool experience and no workshop. The work was mostly done in my garage and a spare bedroom at home in Asker, Norway. This is a video of my homemade guitar.

The guitar was built according to old Spanish traditional methods and pretty much everything is done with hand tools.

It took me 6 months to build the guitar during evenings, weekends and holidays

About the guitar:
The top is Engelman spruce
The back, sides and bridge are Indian Rosewood
The neck is Khaya, an african mahogany
The fingerboard is Ebony
It was made with lots of passion, love and lots of patience

The accompanying music (except a couple of the videos of me playing) are my own compositions played on the guitar in the video. Over the last two months I have started composing and recording. So, I am still experimenting with making proper recordings :) So, go easy on me :)

Update: 5 years has past and I have continued building. For more information on my guitars and music please visit:

I also post many snippets of playing the guitar at instagram. You can follow me and the development of the guitar here:

And of course I will start posting some guitar videoes here on youtube. So, follow me here if interested.

Lastly, I apologize for the quality of the video. Not too much experience in making those either :)
