I wrote “What’s Left When” as a part of my Artist In Residence stay at Caribou Ranch in Nederland, CO, surrounded by a field of wildflowers and summoned by the great mountains of Colorado. This feeling of peacefulness led to an understanding, that there are places like this that will no longer exist in the future. I took this song to the ocean, and decided to make the music video reflect yet another part of nature that is threatened by the existence of humanity. This song asks the questions: what’s left when we’ve taken everything we can from this planet - what’s left then?
