Ride on Preserved Metroline B7TL Plaxton President VPL630 (LK54 FWJ) South East Bus Festival 2024

Here is a ride on a preserved Metroline Volvo B7TL Plaxton President on a trip around Kent Showground in Maidstone at the annual South East Bus Festival, on Saturday 6th April 2024. This is VPL630 (LK54 FWJ), recently repainted with the Metroline blue stripe and a part of the Bromley Bus Preservation Group's North London Collection.

I was looking forward to riding one of these Metroline deckers. Either TA648 or TE847 was supposed to go around the Showground today, but they didn't; fortunately, VPL630 was out instead. The seats on these are also nice and comfortable, like those on 6948 at Metrobus.

The final video was actually my third attempt to start filming on this bus. The doors kept beeping after they were shut, and no matter how much the driver tried to close them, they wouldn't stop beeping! Eventually, he had to restart the engine, which is why this video started with an engine startup.
