How can thematic mutual funds align with your financial goals? Ft. Kalpen Parekh

In this video, Mr Kalpen Parekh, Managing Director and CEO of DSP Asset Managers Pvt. Ltd. will talk about how youngsters can pick the right mutual funds. A first timer must learn the ropes of equity mutual funds before investing in them. Risk doesn’t lie in the stock market but in the behaviour of the investor. If one wants to start investing in equity mutual funds then one could look at flexi cap mutual funds. It gives exposure to large, mid and small cap stocks as well as many sectors. Some flexi cap mutual funds also have exposure to foreign stocks. The longer you stay invested in equity mutual funds, the higher is the compounding benefit. One must not chase returns from equity mutual funds. Don’t churn your mutual fund portfolio unnecessarily otherwise you will keep incurring capital gains tax.
