Building Pathfinder Trebuchet Model

Описание к видео Building Pathfinder Trebuchet Model

Building Pathfinder Trebuchet model. A working trebuchet firing a ball of clay. 22 ounces in the counterweight bucket is a safe starting point for interior firing, which won't hit the ceiling!

The toughest part of construction is cutting all the little dowels to length. I had no luck scoring and snapping those, even when deeply scored with a knife. I'd skip straight to a hobby saw.

Fun little holiday build with my sons who I think enjoy a model that actually shoots! Amazingly consistent and reproduceable firing results given the materials and mechanisms involved.

WELCOME TO THE POHOY KARANKAWA AND WESTERN RAILROAD – MY FREELANCE MODEL RAILROAD!

If you are a freelance model railroader come join me and subscribe! This page documents my freelance model railroad journey as well as related adventures – railfan trips, train photography, conventions, hobby shops, etc. But the focus will be on modeling, tips and tricks, making your own decals and the things that freelancers have to do more of than prototype modelers. Stripping paint, designing liveries, imagineering and those sorts of things will all be a focus.

Please visit the PK&W RR Facebook page! I’ll be providing updates on projects and events on a regular basis on Facebook. http://rrjbgroup.com/pk%20&%20w%20rai...

Check out the PK&W web site! Here you’ll find information on the railroad overall, big projects and FREE DECAL ART, just to name a few things. Enjoy! http://rrjbgroup.com/pk%20&%20w%20rai... Wondering what the heck Pohoy, Karankawa and Western means or where that name came from? Check it out here on the website!

But, whatever you do – BUILD MODELS! Overcome your inertia and do stuff! Stop watching other people – including me – doing things and do it yourself. It doesn’t have to be perfect. You will be your own worst critic so stop fretting you won’t be good enough. Get moving! See my related video on embracing your suckage here https://studio.youtube.com/video/xLQI...
