Marcus is an uninteresting, underdeveloped character in a show full of deep, rich, nuanced characters. What happened? Did the Arcane writer’s just drop the ball and that’s that? No, there’s much more to this character and how he is used in Arcane than first meets the eye. His relationship with the characters around him, especially Caitlyn and the Undercity characters, creates a foundation that the entire narrative benefits from.
