Stephen King's The Night Flyer retrospective

Описание к видео Stephen King's The Night Flyer retrospective

This week I take a look a back at The Night Flyer a 1997 American supernatural horror film directed by Mark Pavia and starring Miguel Ferrer, and Julie Entwisle, in this retrospective review.

It is based on the Stephen King short story of the same name.

A cult classic among Stephen King fans, and for good reason. It is a suspenseful and atmospheric film with some genuinely scary moments. The film's cast is also excellent, with Ferrer giving a particularly memorable performance as the mysterious and troubled Dees, it also acts as the perfect metaphor for the soullessness of tabloid journalism.

However, the film is not without its flaws releasing to low critical review scores and paltry box office. The pacing is a bit slow, all the characters are incredibly dislikeable and additionally, the film's ending is a major change to the the short story it is based on, which may leave some viewers feeling unsatisfied.

Overall, a solid Stephen King adaptation with some great moments. It is definitely worth a watch if you are a fan of Stephen King's work and the adaptations of it.
