It's my party and I want everything to sound perfect, so I chose Shure to make sure that it does.

I would say what's unique is the amount of microphones we're using for one show. Five main microphones for the artist, we have three background vocals, we have DJ mic's, guest mic's.
We have so many different microphones.

My name is Christopher Lee, and I am the monitor engineer here for Jennifer Lopez, It's My Party Tour.

Axient Digital has been amazing for this tour.
We have a lot of, you know, handhelds open at one time, and we have a lot of channels, and we have not had any challenges
We go into a lot of environments where there is a lot of different RF happening.
I mean we haven't had any challenges at all with the microphones on this tour.

The ease of use of Workbench is amazing, and the consistency of it is amazing.
You know you roll into all of these different venues, day in and day out, and it works just as good.

My name is Dustin Lewis, Monitor Tech/RF Coordinator.

Ears, mics, comm, VHF, and backups, I shoot for 60 everyday.
Workbench still seems to usually give me at least 20 backups on top of the 38 that we are actually using during the show for ears and mics.

The ability to have backup frequencies is always welcome.

My name is Steve Curtin. I am the front of house engineer for Jennifer Lopez.

With Jennifer we have five different color mics to go with different outfits and different parts of the show, and then one as a spare for everything.
So just knowing that if we appropriately set up those backup frequencies it will change and do it's thing.
One less thing to worry about.

For us, we've really been impressed with the battery life.
You know this show is about two and a half hours long, and if you count the openers,
you know those mic's are on for a good three and a half hours.
Nobody wants to go around and wrangle all of these batteries,
and so you know you can put a battery in and you know it's going to last for a good part of the day.
Rechargeable, that's all we use. I mean even down to the PSM1000's that we have in our in-ears.

We give Jen three or four packs at the beginning of every show, and that power save function really helps us extend battery life.
When they are not plugged in they are saving power,
and she can have full battery throughout the whole show on all of her packs for each wardrobe change she does.
Which is one of my favorite parts about it.

We're digital all the way through the system now, so with her vocal chain it's AES out of the Axient into the stage cage.
Chris and I share a cage so there is no splitting or anything. It's in the one AES input, it hits the console, it remains digital.
Any processing I'm using is digital. And then it leaves the console and goes digitally into the PA.
So we've eliminated all A to D conversions,
and anytime we have the opportunity to keep something in the digital domain it's always a huge plus

I would say it works and it's reliable. I mean we know Shure products are, you know tried and true,
but the Axient Digital is what is giving us a consistent show, every single show between every single song.
