Disruptive behaviour is often generated by unrecognized anxiety.

Student anxiety can manifest in many different ways that may not fit your perception of anxiety.

When a young person in your class is anxious they may appear withdrawn, loud and aggressive, refusing to work, perfectionistic, hurting others, attention-seeking, hiding out, pushing others away, squirming in seat, not paying attention, asking a lot of questions, having a tantrum or meltdown, refusal to answer questions, may look like a learning disorder
