First single from the album G and the Doctor!
It’s finally time to jump back in the game!

The release of the new album by the Italian Duo is scheduled for June 18th 2021.
Two musicians who have been sharing stages, kilometers and emotions since 2010.
Since then Gloria and Mecco have released 5 albums, each with a defined identity, each indicating almost a milestone in their musical journey.
A journey that has touched many shades of black music to arrive, with the new "G and the Doctor", at the "origins" with rural blues, New Orleans jazz and Rock n Roll.

In this new work we find Gloria on drums and vocals and Mecco on piano.
Unlike the previous albums, where there have been many collaborations, in this album the Duo acts as a "supporting beam" thus reflecting the stylistic code of their live concerts. And, precisely for this reason, Andrea Guerrini's trumpet could not be missing in some tracks because the Duo, live, often turns into a Trio.
Last but not least the featuring of the good friends Lovesick Duo in the song "A rockin good way", cover of a song by Dinah Washington from 1960.

9 of the 11 tracks are original compositions that began to come to life in late 2019. Lyrics that speak of love, pandemic, will to live, civil rights.

A 2021 of rebirth for Gloria and Mecco, as if to recall the roaring 20s of the 1900s. Desire for redemption, the need to return to life, the urgency to share emotions with an audience "in presence".
“G and the Doctor” is just that. The proof that, for them, these are primordial, essential needs.
