Harvalem Pandava Caves
There are various places in Goa that invites large number of tourists.Water falls, temples and caves add to the glory of party destination.As india is the land of various historical monuments which are still mysterious ,Harvelem cave is also one of those very few places which actual origins cannot be traced,as experts called it Bhoj kalin,Pandava or Buddhist caves .But they are popularly known as Pandava Caves.There are 2 caves which has 5 Lingas,if you see them closely you will know that they doesn't look part of caves but installed later because of the type of stone used there ,hence it creates confusion for researchers,There is a residential room at the end of the Cave. Mahashivratri is a big celebration in the Shiva's village. The cave is a single stone cut cave but doesn't have painting or Buddha idol or carvings on it.The small kund at the entrance will definitely attract your attention.Unlike other caves you can climb on the roof of this cave ,where on top a layer of water proofing can be found .It's a beautiful view for sure.Though the historians and experts have their own theories and studies goans always connect it to Pandavas and hence they remain Pandava caves.
