Amazing Lyra 102 f/11 Refractor Telescope

Lyra 102mm f /11 Achromatic Refractor is the same as Telescope Service TS 102 mm F11 Achromatic Refractor.
Telescope -Service has given the classical Fraunhofer achromat a modern design which fully exploits the optical possibilities of a quality lens. The result is powerful telescope for many fields aof application:

♦ Observation of moon and planets, up to a magnifaction with very good resolution and contrast.
♦ Photography of objects of our solar system.
♦ With suitable solar filters, the TS 102 mm f/11 refractor is a very fine solar telescope.
♦ Great telescope for deep-sky observation. You can also use 2" accessories. With the 2" eyepiece TSWA38, the refractor turns into a wide-field telescope with 2.3° field of view at the sky, that is almost 5 times as large as the full moon.

The classic achromat according to Fraunhofer offers a very good performance - if it is correctly designed and manufactured. Amateur astronomers are often surprised when they look through a really good achromat. Precisely with this refractor we have often heard the question whether it is really a Fraunhofer and not yet an ED refractor.

Fact is thst it is a very good refractor according to Fraunhofer, not more, but also not less. The glasses come from Ohara (Japan) and the multicoated objective is built into a high-quality, temperature-compensated cell. Due to optics and mechanics, this refractor stands above simple mass products and is a true lternative to many ED refractors.

Besides the 2" Crayford focuser, the retractable dewcap is an important feature. With this, the refractor becomes more transportable and shorter than a 102 mm f/10 refractor with fixed dewcap. When the fixed dewcap is extended, it offers optimum protection against stray light and dew.

The focuser provides two M4 screws which are intended to hold a finder shoe (TSSUBA). With this, you can adapt any finders to the telescope.
