Despite significant progress, the HIV epidemic poses a significant global public health challenge in Europe. To meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) target of ending the HIV/AIDS epidemic by 2030, Europe must prioritise ending the transmission of HIV while also ensuring quality care for people living with HIV.

This hybrid Policy Dialogue marked the final event of the European Policy Centre’s project on ending the HIV epidemic, during which the project’s key findings and policy recommendations were presented. The discussion reflected on the role of the EU and member states in tackling HIV action needed to meet the HIV/AIDS SDG targets in Europe. The Policy Dialogue considered the importance of testing, prevention, treatment, and care for people living with HIV.
