Cut Blue Crab Or Artificial Crab - Worth A Shot For Ocean Fishing?

A typical day of ocean fishing with an extra twist. I decided to bring the chasebaits crabs out and "jig em" as is after locating a pile fish. Were the results as traditional jigs and cut blue crabs? Or do I need to re-think my strategy to catch em on the next go.
