Running out of skills on the steep stuff | Glentress Day 2 Black Route & Off Piste

Day 2 of riding Glentress in August 2018, taking in the Black Route and sampling a few of the off-piste trails along the way.

A Trail Fairy Plan turned out to be way steeper and looser than expected (real life is steeper than the videos!) and had us running out of skills and walking down sections — even that was treacherous! It reminded me of some of the fresh-cut sections on enduro races I'd been in a couple of years ago, but in my almost two year hiatus of very little mountain biking I've clearly lost the confidence to commit to this type of stuff.
