As a follow-up to posting adding a 22 ton log splitter to the JD1025R is the actual use (without showing the tractor).

I had made a stand out of an old oak pallet and 4x4 legs to use more for storage..."but" I transported the splitter "on the" stand 106 miles to where the wood was to be split (gal friends home) and as I can lift it with the tractor "or" on the ground using a pallet jack, I simply left the splitter on the stand and dropped it where the wood was.

I didn't connect the 3 point quick attach but backed up "to" the unit and connected the 2 lines. Stationary, there was no vibration or rocking due to the stand it was sitting on being stout.

What you see shows "slow" movement but you also do NOT have to split the entire chunk. Wasted energy, 1/3 thru allows a split. Withdraw and flip end-for-end the chunk and split again.

I have not looked in to a 4 or 6 edged attachment. Doesn't seem to be one designed for the Powerhouse Splitter. Yes it might save time as this is slow but did upwards of a cord of wood under an hour that involved reaching for and carrying the chunks to the splitter.

Next time will be different!
