🚇 TransLink SkyTrain - Real Time Journey - Expo Line - King George to Waterfront

📔 DESCRIPTION 📔
Take a ride on the TransLink (‪@TransLink‬) Expo Line SkyTrain, in real-time, from King George Station to Waterfront Station.

The TransLink Expo Line first began operation in December 1985, in time for Expo 86, and has been extended several times since. The SkyTrain system in Vancouver is completely automated and the lack of a segregated driver's cab allows passengers to have full view and access to the ends of the trains during normal operation. The Expo Line currently operates with two service branches, with outbound services diverging after Columbia Station. Plans are currently underway for a further 16-kilometre-long extension of the Expo Line from King George Station to Langley Centre with 8 new stations. Major construction is expected to begin in 2024 with the extension planned to open in 2028.

All footage captured in this video was recorded on October 19, 2022. All filming was completed under the South Coast British Columbia Transportation Authority (TransLink) Photography on Transit Property Policy with advance communication with, and notification to, the TransLink Corporate Communications Department.
