Decluttering 101

Описание к видео Decluttering 101

Have you ever started to declutter a space and didn’t finish because you didn’t have enough time? Or maybe you don’t even start because you don’t know where to begin. Perhaps overwhelm and emotions stopped you from finishing. These are very common obstacles when you start to declutter and they can be overcome.

In this workshop, we will:
Set up a decluttering plan that works for you
Identify what obstacles are stopping you and discuss strategies to overcome them
Learn how to stay motivated and move past the messy middle
Discuss how to maintain and keep the space organized after you have decluttered.
Look at case studies of decluttering clients and see how they used the decluttering process to work for them—including before and after photos of the decluttered and transformed spaces.

About our Guest Speaker:
Joanne Reeder is a Professional Declutter Coach, Home Organizer, and team member for the Decluttering School.
As a Declutter Coach she helps women who suffer from CHAOS—Can’t Have Anyone Over Syndrome. These women are ashamed about the condition of their home and are too embarrassed to invite anyone over.
She coaches women with online sessions ranging from 45- minute private Zoom Calls to a 3-Week private FaceBook group program. These sessions are designed to develop a plan of action, assist with accountability and teach tactics for motivation and continued success.
Her passion for helping women to declutter comes from personal experience. Joanne began her decluttering journey in February 2002. At that time her home was a hot mess. It was packed with stuff and a constant battle to clean or find anything, she suffered from CHAOS.
She took a leap of faith and started a 30-day decluttering challenge at 15 minutes a day. Her home transformed so much in the 30 days that she continued decluttering for 18 months until her entire home was organized. She is still reaping the benefits from that initial 30-day challenge.
Since 2016, Joanne has been a proud member of the Whitby Chamber of Commerce and Professional Organizers of Canada, serving for 2 years as the executive secretary. Both organizations are strong supporters of giving back to the community and Joanne has enjoyed volunteering for multiple projects ranging from Habitat for Humanity Builds to cleaning up local conservation areas.

Originally from the Canadian prairies, Joanne has lived for 30 years in southern Ontario with her partner, Brian. She is a proud grandmother to two beautiful baby boys and is currently a cat-less cat lady. She enjoys genealogy, reading novels, and boating in the 1000 Islands.
