The three types of scoliosis are congenital, syndromic, and idiopathic.
Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis is the most common form of scoliosis and affects people aged 10 years and older, with a prevalence of 2-3%.
The lecture provides information on how to take a patient history, including their presenting complaint, any pain, and neurological symptoms.
When assessing a patient, it is important to evaluate their posture, heights of iliac crests and shoulders, and check for leg length discrepancies.
