AYCE San Diego KBBQ - Charcoal Tabletop Grill?!

There are so many asian food on Convoy Street in San Diego! Personally, I always drive down this street in search of what I might be craving for. There are plenty of Korean BBQ places on this street and around this area. But one that really stood out for an All You Can Eat BBQ is Fire Spot.

The Fire Spot is different compared to other KBBQ place. They actually place a real charcoal grill on the table! This really reminds me of Vietnam where they bring the whole charcoal grill to the table to grill our meat. All the BBQ fans out there understands that grilling meat over charcoal is so much better than propane.

This place is a mix of Chinese/Korean fusion. Some of the meat is marinated korean way. While some dipping sauce is chinese. They also have different items compared to traditional KBBQ options. Their spicy beef soup is super good! Their price is very reasonable and fair. Just make sure to come early as there could be a long wait for seats.

After eating BBQ, we head over across the street to the next plaza to munch on some desserts.

The trending Mochi donut store "Mochinut" is the rave. We have to check out what all the hype is about. They specialize in donuts that are made a bit chewy from mochi. These have a puffy crisp outer, slightly bouncy chewy texture, and different glazed toppings.

I enjoy it much better than the traditional donuts. It is a bit more expensive that the traditional donuts too. But I understand since they do take a bit more time to make compared to regular donuts.
