1997 City & Regional Fuels Sprintcar Shootout at Bunbury Speedway held on March 15th.
The start of the event was actually a memorial service in memory of Darryl and Jason Krikke who were taken too suddenly in a car accident only a week earlier on their way home to Bunbury from racing at Claremont on the Friday night.

All drivers pay their respects 'For the Boys' and tribute to their memory with stickers and number #95 on their cars.
