This is my bass cover for ‪@AmonAmarthOfficial‬'s song Pursuit Of Vikings, taken from the 2004 album, Fate Of Norns. This is the first video where I use my new ‪@solar-guitars‬ AB2.4 Baritone bass. It's a KILLER machine and although everything on it is stock you can clearly listen how good it sounds with some basic editing. For this recording I used the Darkglass plugin by ‪@NeuralDSP‬ going into Amplitube 5 to a Gallien Krueger MB150 bass head and SVX 810E cab.

A mini-review for the bass:
I received the bass mid/late December, about a week after ordering it. It was a b-stock model, so some imperfections were expected. The bass I received though seemed excellent apart from a small marking in the back of the body which took some really careful inspection to find. It holds tuning well, it's not perfect but that may be due to the sub-par Blacksmith strings.

The quality of the hardware is excellent with smooth feeling tuners and a sturdy high mass bridge.To get into more detail about that I'd urge you to check out ‪@LowEndLobster‬'s review on the bass, as he gets in-depth into the quality of the bass.

When it comes to the pickups, I was initially amazed by how good it sounds but I also don't have much experience with other big brand names like ‪@NordstrandAudio‬, ‪@emgtv‬, ‪@seymourduncan‬ etc. To my ears it sounds good though!

The neck feels like a typical ‪@IbanezOfficial‬ Soundgear bass. Really thin, really narrow and really fast. It's back is smooth as it's not painted or coated with oil.

My final verdict would be that if you like it, buy it! It sounds good, plays good and feels good, definetely an excellent choice!
